Empathy games are designed to put you in the shoes of their protagonists. Even more so than usual. They’re sad sometimes. They can’t always be “won” in the traditional sense of the word. Some people don’t even consider them games.
In this piece, published on The Writing Platform, I give an overview of some popular empathy games, and talk about taxonomies, labels, the goal of games, and my own failed attempt to make one.
