I first learned about the You Are Beautiful project when I was in secondary school. I sent off for some stickers the same day with a wad of pristine dollar bills I acquired from the Post Office. The stickers that arrived a few months later were gorgeous, and I plastered them all over Southampton. At least one, worn down to blankness, is still where I put it.
It was hugely exciting, then, to be able to speak to the man who started it all. In this piece for Sticker Mule I spoke to Matt Hoffman about the origins of the project, how it has changed over the years, and what it means to do things that are physical, free, and part of the real world.
