Pick a subject, get a story. Equipped only with a frequently-broken antique typewriter, I provide spontaneous stories for people I meet on the street. Give me a couple of words, a topic, a name or even a full plot synopsis and within five minutes you'll be holding in your hand a unique, freshly-minted scrap of literary art.
Whether it's a poem, short story, fortune cookie filling or piece of advice, each piece I write is created live, and inspired by a chance encounter with a passerby. The finished product is yours to keep forever. Frame it, sell it, trash it, stick it on the back of the bathroom door. I work by donation only - so you can also decide exactly what your story is worth to you.
Want a story of your own? You don't have to wait until you happen to stumble into me on the street. Just get in touch with your topic, title, synopsis or starter words and I'll get to work. Finished stories can be sent as attached images in an email, or posted out to you wherever you are in the world. If you like what you get, feel free to drop a fiver in the hat!
I can usually be found at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as a scattering of other events throughout the year. I occasionally busk on the streets of London, Bristol and Norwich. Running en event and want me to drop by? Just get in touch.
