“Apples” Published in Jupiter

Short Fiction

Jupiter - Post

There’s this memory I have from before the Shake. Father says I shouldn’t think about the past because the past is full of nothing but wickedness, but this memory… it doesn’t seem too terrible. I’m five years old and I’m watching my dad as he shaves. The mirror’s misted up, but he’s cleared a little patch so that he can see what he’s doing.

My science-fiction short story “Apples” appears in issue 37 of Jupiter Magazine. The magazine is available in print or formatted for reading on a Kindle from the website www.jupitersf.co.uk. The issue in which my work appears is named “Kale”, which is one of Jupiter’s many moons. It was discovered in 2001.
